Me alex and justin went to the opening night of the norwalk raceway, it was pretty cool.
Alex got the tickets for free so that alone was cool, we were a little disappointed that jeremiah couldn’t come with us as originally planned, but we will be sure to take him the next time we head up that way because it was alot of fun.
There were some pretty scary people up there, but I bet they thought I was pretty da*n scary too so I won’t get into any details.
The opening day ’show’ itself was pretty cool, they had a great mix of cars and bikes. I must say, seeing a motorcycle go about 150+ for the first time is really something. SOme of the bikes really had some kick to them because every time the darn things shifted their front wheel was completely off the ground and thats just a scary thought to me because some of the bikers were ‘hardcore’ and didn’t even have a wheelie bar and the thought of the guys flying off of the things did go thorough my mind a few times.
There was some crazy fat guy that has his ‘jet engine’ powered kenworth semi which was pretty cool. It was the loudest thing I have ever heard, originally I was making fun of the ‘little’ kids who were wearing their ear plugs, but after seeing and hearing that semi run the 1/4 mile in just over 7 seconds I must say I really wished I had a pair of those ear plugs!
We left a little before the official end because it started sprinkling again and we didn’t think they would get any more dragging in because they already postponed it a little while before because of another storm cloud.
We ended up running into a stratus that thought it could take us on route 20, but it couldn’t :) We showed it who was boss and the driver of it (we didn’t realize it was a FEMALE) about lost control of it and slammed into the back of another car, but she managed to keep the car on the road, luckilly. After a while we ran into the same person in town but she said she didn’t want to race because the cops were out. The last time we saw her was at another traffic light, we asked her once again if she wanted to race, she said she was headed to a bar to get drunk WHILE SHE WAS DRINKING @ THE DAMN STOPLIGHT, after I saw that I thought she was a stupid bitc* because you just don’t drink and drive, moron.
You don’t drive under the influence, it’s just plain stupid…
